Celebrity Carry on Barging….. the K&A on TV

What a brilliant TV programme the Celebrity Carry on Barging on Channel Five has been.

Here at Honeystreet Boats we have really enjoyed seeing our local waterway the Kennet and Avon being shown on prime time TV.

Its been great to see Magician’s assistant Debbie McGee, Chariots of Fire actor Nigel Havers, actor and musician Simon Callow and former model Lorraine Chase having fun on a barge holiday.

If you haven’t seen it yet it is available on the channel five catch up service.

What is great is if you have watched it and now fancy going up and down the Caen Hill flight, we are situated in the middle of a 15 mile lock free stretch of water, head West and Day Two is Caen Hill flight day, or you can head East from us and enjoy breathtaking countryside without having to do 29 locks in a day! You can venture through Wilcot, Pewsey, Wootton Rivers, Burbage, Hungerford as far as Kintbury and even enjoy the excitement of Bruce Tunnel in Savernake.

Either way you are going to have a wonderful holiday on one of our Canal Narrowboats or as some call them Barge boats or even long boats.
